After Four years, the students are ready to seat for their final examinations which will determine whether to proceed to universities or colleges.
The students have been going through hard times now that the pandemic has been here for about a year. Some have been affected mentally and emotionally making the students feel as if they are not ready for the exam.
The government has done all what it takes to cushion them. This is by providing counselors in schools who talk to the affected learners. Moreover, the teachers have been trained to handle learners with such problems.

Ginger, garlic, tumeric and lemon are easily available in our markets. I didn’t know how these products were powerful until the time I used them.
We may have ignored their importance but they stand to offer great help to our bodies. I am one of those people who used to hate the garlic smell not to mention the tumeric taste.
Last week, I was suffering from cold and flu. At first, I was shocked as this is one of the covid 19 symptoms. You can imagine how scared I was. I decided to take it easy and tried to manage it by myself and then I would visit the doctor later if it didn’t work. I went fetching for the products in the nearby market.
I then prepared them and mixing everything except lemon which I added after the boiling was done. Before I could allow the mixture to cool down, I steamed myself with the hot vapour. After some minutes, I sieved the mixture and added some honey to taste.
After three days, I was free from the cold and flu! I couldn’t believe it. I felt so relieved and happy. My medicine was just a stone throw and at the same time I spent less for my treatment.
By writing this, I don’t advocate for not visiting the doctor when you feel unwell, but you can as well give it a shot.
Have you ever experienced such? Will be happy to hear how you managed it without visiting the doctor. Would you like to read other posts? Be free to get them here.
When coronavirus knocked, we thought it was just for sometime. This was never to be. In kenya we are now experiencing the third wave which seems to be more dangerous. Children are back home for a long holiday. This makes the parents even more worried.
Most of the hospitals are full to capacity for new admissions and when one gets lucky, they are quoting very high admission fee leaving most of the citizens helpless.
Number of people infected with the virus has really increased. People, on the other hand have ignored following the Covid-19 protocals. We are worried how things will end.
Will the vaccine help? We have to wait and see….is the virus still a thorn in the flesh where you come from?… Kindly share how you are working on mitigation……I will appreciate reading it in your comment.
Since the National Examinations kicked of on March 22 in kenya, fifteen girls have so far given birth in different counties. From this, we can guess what the long holiday that was brought about by the pandemic caused. The exams are still on until March 24.
The government in conjunction with the Ministry of Education has made sure that all this girls are seating for their examinations. The hospitals where these girls are admitted have isolated a room for the purpose of examinations.
During the long holiday, counties recorded high number of girls who got pregnant. See this. Let’s protect our teenage girls from early pregnancy. See how.
This comes after the government has announced high number of teenagers who have been infected with HIV during the school holidays.
You may say that the former Tanzania’s president was a rough person without mercy, but Tanzanians will tell you a different story. Whatever he did was for the normal Tanzanian citizen. He had stood firm on his decision making. He didn’t care whether to lose friends or not. All what he cared for was the Tanzanians. He will be missed by many.
The long awaited time has just arrived. Class 8 candidates have begun their final year examinations. They have been in school at least for 8 years. See also KCPE
The kenya Primary National Examinations are set to start on 22 March. 19th marks the rehearsal day whereby the learners are reminded some do’s and dont’s. Teachers make sure that every learner is well prepared to seat for the exam.
The learners have been preparing for 8 years and now it’s time to reap what they sow. Some schools which didn’t survive the pandemic closed down. This led to transfer of learners to other schools which survived the Covid-19 storm.
The exams are coming a times when some of the learners are going through difficult time. Some have lost their loved ones to Covid-19 while others have been affected economically. This may affect the outcome but not much can be done to mitigate the situation.
We wish them success as well as a safe time! See how to get to your destiny no matter what.
You are well, this morning, then you have a reason to say thank you. As we look forward for a successful day, may the grace of God be sufficient. May all our needs be met. May our prayers be answered . May we have plenty in store so that we can have enough to share with our neighbours.

Saturday is occupied with ceremonies such as weddings, dowry, funerals, picnics, family outings and many more. While the day looks so occupied with outdoor activities, others prefer to make it a cleaning day and there after enjoy a nap. Some like it when they stay at home and bond with their young ones.
We have others who take advantage of the weekend and use it to try new recipe.

It was during one of the school holidays. My mother had put a tight schedule to make sure we were always busy as always. All Tuesdays were spared for a duty of fetching firewood from a neighbouring forest. It was not an obvious thing because the forest was guarded and so we had to play our cards well to make sure that we were not caught. To us, this was not a difficult task as we always knew how to manoeuvre our way.
On that day, I woke up early. Alerted other girls from the neighbourhood and finally we had made a group of eight girls. We knew going to the forest alone could be risky and that is why we made sure we formed a strong group. Equipped with all what we needed such like pangas, axes and ropes, there we went to pursue our mission.
Don’t dare to make a move, if you try to act weirdly, you might go back to your mother in a different form!
A scaring voice from one of the guards thundered
We were all scared to death as we did not know our fate. They tied our hands with our own ropes and frogmarched us to an open field inside the forest before taking us to their station where they locked us in a shanty room. For all this time, we hadn’t noticed that Florah, one of the girls, was not with us! Where could she be? Did she manage to escape or something bad has happened to her? Everyone of us was worried. We knew the forest was not the best place to be and especially late in the evening due to some wild animals which used to take the advantage of the dark to harass the village.
It was now getting late, yet we had no idea what was in store for us. We could here the guards conversing outside but we comprehended nothing at all as they were from a different community. No one understood their language. We tried to scream to attract their attention, but the effort bore no fruits. One of them could understand some words from our language but what he did was just to scold us commanding us to keep quiet.
Finally, it was dark. There was no need to continue pleading for our freedom. After all, being in that room was safer than walking aimlessly in the forest which could be more dangerous for us. What about our parents? They must have been worried waiting for us to return home with no avail!
We tried to get some sleep but the place was too cold for most of us apart from Daisy. Neither the noise that we made nor the cold in the room could deter her visit to the slumber land.
The night was so long that we all wished for the sunrise. Everything seemed quiet apart from scaring sounds of wild animals which could be heard from time to time. Some of as couldn’t bear it any logger. They tried to build some warmth by crowding together. This helped them to get some sleep, but it wasn’t the case with Judith and I. No matter how much we tried to close our eyes, no urge of sleep dared to give us a courtesy call. We were forced to endure with the situation knowing that we had no way out!
Before we could see the morning sun rays, our worrying peace was interrupted by noise and commotion from outside. We hurriedly tried to alert those of us who were sleeping. Everybody was awake when we heard the deafening shout from a man whom we couldn’t recognise his voice!…..what next?….don’t miss the next part…let’s go this journey together….below this story, I request that you follow me….kindly share your opinion as you comment...let’s meet next time and know what happened.
It is the nature of human to appreciate success when it knocks. Though somebody said...opportunity strikes only once…..it is everyone’s desire to enjoy it now and then, but mostly, it isn’t just a walk in the park. I loved a statement from one of the blogs I read recently that stated...if it was easy, everybody would be in it…this challenged me if not to inspire. Now I know that having tried is already an achievement. What you need is persistence as per this 10 Ways.. and also see this video on how to reach to your destiny
Is it true that money earned through hard ways is ‘sweeter’ than what you never struggled for?… I am not sure on this… Sometimes life is a bit unfair. One may work so hard yet success is negligible. However, that should not discourage one to move on. You never know what tomorrow has in store. So, keep moving as long as you don’t stop. Sometimes the speed doesn’t matter. If the snail managed to get into Noah’s Ark, play it cool, your destiny is definite, but you must keep it to the truck. As you can see here on Ways to success
Keep moving…
What do I mean? Give yourself time to achieve what you want. If it is business or education, just go for it. There are some hurdles on the way, but they may be more of success than destruction. No matter how hard you try to jump over them, some need to be stepped on or knocked down to give you the way. Be patient…Rome was not built in a day…and a journey of hundred miles starts with a step. Keep going girl!..and that’s me!
Children are back home for another long holiday. Internet is waiting…..Have you heard of the charlie charlie game which is blowing off the minds of the school going children? It is believed that it connects the player with the spirit of the dead through a ‘supernatural being.’ It is affecting the child mentally and emotionally.
The game involves the use of two pencils or pens. The player mention some words calling the name charlie and respond yes or no. So to parents, this is not just a game to have fun. Watch out!
Others were blue whale and the momo challenge which caused the death of some children.
Deputy President of Tanzania was sworn in as the first woman president of Tanzania. People are eager to see how things unfold with the new leadership. This has happened as the Tanzanians still mourn the death of their former president- John Magufuli

It’s a good thing to wake up to a beautiful day! Sometimes we tend to take it for granted. Little do we know that many didn’t manage. It is always good to appreciate the breathe we have. It doesn’t just come, a great supreme being is behind it. Being a great day, I wonna wish you a blessed day ahead.
Have you ever heard of the Pi Day? If not, you are not alone. I also got this from one of my friends in US. She explains it very well and I loved it! See what she says:
March 14 is Pi Day, an annual celebration of the mathematical constant pi (π), the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. The symbol was first used in mathematical calculations by Welsh mathematician William Jones and later it was popularized by Swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler, who adopted it in 1737.However, the numerical relationship […]
A house girl in Nairobi brought her threats to reality. This happened after her boss terminated her contract due to some misunderstanding making her unhappy and threatened to harm the children.
True to her words, she stubbed the two kids leaving them with serious injuries. She also threatened the new house girl who tried to save the children from the horror.
Sources say that she later boarded a bus to Busia. Not getting to her destiny, she was apprehended on her way at Eldoret town. The girl had been employed for two years with good salary. She was bitter but her action left many puzzled.
Parents, let’s be a bit vigilant!… Let’s chat as we comment on how we can improve our children’s security.
It’s my pleasure to wish all dedicated mothers in United Kingdom(UK) a great Mother’s Day. May you continue being strong in this noble duty. You may not find someone to appreciate your effort, but know that your dedication is beyond any equivalency. The most important thing is to appreciate yourself for work well done…..

Have you ever wondered how you could stop the exam anxiety? Don’t go far, the tips are just here!
Getting ready
Preparing
Prepare early. Don’t wait to start revision for your papers a day before the examination. Go through your work or notes when there is no tension of seating for the papers.
Plan your revision well. Don’t follow your favorites when revising. This would lure you to concentrate on what you like yet every part of learning will contribute to you grade. So have a strategy on how to make sure every area has been covered.
If you are doing tutor learning, then be attentive when the lessons are going on as this would be the only time the concept will be explained.
Avail yourself at least 30 minutes before time. This will give you time to relax from the hustle of traffic or any other challenge.
Make sure you have all that is needed to write your paper. With those tips, then you are good to go! If you come across other tips, feel free to add in your comment. ALL THE BEST.See also
The CS has broadly expressed his fear on the rise of the number of people suffering from coronavirus. He declares that the country is experiencing the third wave of the pandemic which can be more dangerous than the previous.
He pleads with all citizens to be extra careful and follow the regulations as given by Ministry of Health.
The long awaited coronavirus vaccine is already here. As per my previous post, teachers and health workers will be in forefront to receive the vaccine. The process of vaccination has already kicked off.
The vaccine has been taken to a number of counties through out the country. Some people still feel that the vaccine is not safe while others see it as a blessing in disguise.
As stated by the Health Cabinet Secretary, the country is going through the third wave of the virus. He stated that, from the previous experience, this one seems to be tougher than before. The numbers have started rising raising a red flag and so he advised the citizens to be a bit careful and keep to the covid-19 regulations.
This has been the slogan of the day in kenya whether you are supporting it or not. There is always something one can utter on BBI. BBI came as a result of the handshake between President Uhuru and former Prime Minister Raila.
The issue has raised a lot of questions than answers. Some people are finding it strange to use alleged 14 billion during this difficult time in the midst of coronavirus hiccups. Others feel that the change of constitution should come first no matter what.
This has brought a tag of war among the citizens. The politicians are taking the advantage of BBI to go round the country pleading with people to support their decision.
It is still not sure whether the BBI will go through or not. We are yet to see. But one thing people should understand is that, as much as they are campaigning for BBI or not, they should adhere to covid-19 protocols. The large gatherings seen show openly that people have forgotten that corona virus is still with us. Although the vaccine is here, we should be careful.
