It is the nature of human to appreciate success when it knocks. Though somebody said...opportunity strikes only once…..it is everyone’s desire to enjoy it now and then, but mostly, it isn’t just a walk in the park. I loved a statement from one of the blogs I read recently that stated...if it was easy, everybody would be in it…this challenged me if not to inspire. Now I know that having tried is already an achievement. What you need is persistence as per this 10 Ways.. and also see this video on how to reach to your destiny
Is it true that money earned through hard ways is ‘sweeter’ than what you never struggled for?… I am not sure on this… Sometimes life is a bit unfair. One may work so hard yet success is negligible. However, that should not discourage one to move on. You never know what tomorrow has in store. So, keep moving as long as you don’t stop. Sometimes the speed doesn’t matter. If the snail managed to get into Noah’s Ark, play it cool, your destiny is definite, but you must keep it to the truck. As you can see here on Ways to success
Keep moving…
What do I mean? Give yourself time to achieve what you want. If it is business or education, just go for it. There are some hurdles on the way, but they may be more of success than destruction. No matter how hard you try to jump over them, some need to be stepped on or knocked down to give you the way. Be patient…Rome was not built in a day…and a journey of hundred miles starts with a step. Keep going girl!..and that’s me!
Most of the learners in some of the developing countries are not gaining from digital migration that is taking place in most part of the world. Like in kenya, children from vulnerable backgrounds cannot afford purchasing smart gadgets leave alone paying for the internet. Moreover, most of the teachers who are supposed to teach the learners using the technology skills are also not well equipped.I am requesting all well wishers to join hands to assist this children and the teachers. The donations received will be used to buy necessary equipment and for teachers facilitation programs.

This statement seems to be a bit ambiguous, having in mind that there is the second coming of Christ as per what Christians would say. Others would argue that there is heaven and hell and if you miss one, it means is a direct ticket to the other. Another group would say that this is the only life we have and we should enjoy it to the maximum. Fine, all these are subject to discussion. But according to to this young girl by the name Liznet, the other world was real. She wanted to be something different from what she is now.
One beautiful morning, she called her mother and said, ” Mum, in my next life, I want to be…..”
She was interrupted by a phone call from her mother’s cellphone. The mother answered the call that took a bit of her time. Liznet was impatient, she wanted to narrate her expectations of the next world. She requested her mother to spare her some time. The didn’t take long and after a few minutes, she was through with the call, she took a stool, walked outside and after wiping it she sat down and alerted her daughter that she was ready for the story. “Come here my dear. You can now tell me all what you want. I am……there goes the bell. Let me check whose is there.”
Opening the main gate, she was shocked to see a group of women from one of the Support Group that she was a member. They had come to visit her.
“What a surprise!..I didn’t have any idea of this. Nancy, you must be the master planner of all this!..Anyway, welcome home!” She said as she urshered them in.
Liznet was not a happy girl. Her story had been cut short by the visitors. She had to be patient until the ripe time comes to complete the story. Her anxiety couldn’t wait. She rushed to her bedroom and locked herself inside.
There was a hot chat among the women and little did they notice the absence of Liznet not until the time of leaving when the mother called out,” Liznet, Liznet where are you? Please come and say hello to visitors. They are almost leaving”
Surprisingly, she came out of her bedroom smiling. In her hands, she was holding something which she hid at her back. ” What’s that that you are hiding? Let’s have a look at it.” one of the ladies requested her.
She moved closer and displayed a beautiful picture that she had drawn. So to say, her silence in the bedroom was with a purpose.
“Yeah! This is what I want to be in the next world. Yes, the next life. No sorrow, no trouble, no hustle again in the next world!”
In the picture there was a beautiful bird that was soaring peacefully in the sky. Below it, there were beautiful trees scattered at the Savannah. The picture said it all, “In the next world, I would like to be this beautiful bird!”
Everyone in the room was shocked with the news. There was a moment of silence as the ladies gazed at one another. ” Okay, what a beautiful picture!..eh…ah…but why have you decided to be a bird?” her mother broke the silence, but what mattered to Liznet was that the message had reached home. Yes, to be a beautiful bird in the next life!….…catch up with the next part to know why Liznet chose a bird for her next world… that’s it!...what would you like to be in the next life?… kindly hit like if it is worth it and follow the story…. comment too on ways I can improve.
I was scared to death such that I could even hear my own heart beat. There was very little to be done. The animal seemed not to be in a hurry and so the more I stood still the more I became helpless. I couldn’t control the urge to sneeze due to the cold weather that hit me like a storm. I had to let it out uncontrollably. This made the hell loose and within a blink, the ground was opening it’s mouth wide to prey on me. Nothing could stop the charging animal to get to it’s target. I was very weak to make a run. I closed my eyes not to see my own death coming to me live.
Suddenly, there was a deafening sound that left my eardrums bursting. I took refuge behind a huge tree that was near me. From there, I could see blurred images as it was still dark. The Elephant was lying helplessly on the ground.
Though it was attacking me, I couldn’t help to see it in great pain. Although some animals were dangerous, I still admired seeing them around. What could have happened? I took my time to watch what was happening. Somebody had shot the elephant and it was groaning in pain. This one made me shed tears. Luckily, it was injured on the leg and so it tried to struggle it’s way into the forest.
Don’t be afraid, I saw the elephant charging towards you, I had this herbs that I used to shoot it’s leg. This was only meant to numb it’s leg to disrupt it. Soon it will recover from it.
A man from nowhere addressed me.
I was happy to hear that though if it were not for the man, I couldn’t live to narrate this story. He was following me closely carrying his jerrican of milk too. All this time, I had tried to make sure my jerrican of milk was still safe. Thank God no accident happened.
I was happy to get a companion to the dairy farm. It was a day full of challenges, but it marked the end of me taking the milk as my dad could not allow such incident to happen again……Yeah! A blessing in disguise!…Dare not miss the next episode..give it a like if it’s worth it.. follow me to make sure you don’t miss it.
Today marks the third Sunday of June which most part of the world recognize and celebrate fathers. I felt that I have to write this few lines on the fathers who leave the family responsibilities to the mothers and disappear from the seen just to come back when children are all grown. They misuse their youthful life only to return home when they have nothing to offer. Have a watch at this video. It is a special dedication to all Fathers.
Others are just there in the house leaving all responsibilities to the mothers. They can’t provide even a pencil to the school going child. They don’t want to work. It’s the duty of the mother to raise children and be the bread winner at the same time. Such fathers should understand that the children are watching and soon they will be grown-ups.
I really feel to appreciate all responsible Dads who work tirelessly to make sure their families don’t miss a thing. Though sometimes it might be challenging, but they always go an extra mile through thick and thin to make their ends meet. Bravo! To such Dads. Keep up the good work...Happy Fathers’ Day!

Fathers…remember you are the head of the family
Some are absent fathers only seen when there is curfew directives. Sometimes children see them after a fortnight or so, yet they live in the same house and when they appear, they want to be felt by making sure everyone responds when the cough. They don’t find it important to engage in raising children and they assume the task should be left to mothers only.
We have seen some fathers who don’t bother whether the child is sick or not, school fees is paid or not, took breakfast or not and some left school meetings as a mother- duty – only. They have never attended any school meetings. Not because they are busy, but that is meant for mothers as they say.
When these children grow up, they will recognize their mother more. This is where complains start coming up. Some accuse mothers that they have poisoned the children so much that they never recognize nor respect their father.
Respect is earned…if you need it, then work for it!
I have this message to all Fathers, you might think that participating in bringing up children is not necessary, but you will not escape from the repercussions. You will need these children at your old age, be part of their lives. They will also recognize you as a caring father. Sometimes what they only need is your wise words!
Fathers, money is not everything, your presence matters too.
Be there for your children, whether you have money or not, your love to them means a lot!…and when you grow old, they will not need any introduction to address you. Let us all take part fully in raising our children. The task is not as easy as it may look to be.
Fathers… don’t just father the child…be a Dad too!
In case you missed the last episode, here it is: How I made it.
Though Bryan seemed to be cool, I could tell that all was not well. I tried to prove to him that there was nothing between me and Hopekins just to make him understand which I thought he did. He seemed not to be in a hurry though it was getting late. “Bryan, I think it’s time to say goodbye and goodnight. Let’s meet tomorrow at the office. Hope I have made it clear to you.”
He did not hesitate. He stood up from where he was seated, shook my hand and wished me a goodnight. For sure I didn’t like all what was happening. It was more of pretence than real. To me, it was like a show. We parted and I was glad that he left in peace.
The night was long. I kept tossing left and right. Tried to cover myself from the cold but no sleep came on my way. “Was he sincere when he said that he was sorry? Why did he seem to be so calm?……” A lot of questions crisscrossed my mind. Yet I didn’t have the right response. I didn’t know when sleep hijacked me as I went exploring the slumber land until I was interrupted by the morning alarm.
It didn’t take long before I arrived at the office. To my surprise, Bryan had not arrived. This was unusual as he always reached office before me. I had a busy schedule and so I went straight to my day’s program.
It was now at 9:30am and Bryan had not arrived at the office. I wondered what could have happened to him. I decided to give myself time as I waited for him before going out for some field work. After half an hour, I picked my bag and some files that I needed for the field work. As I was stepping outside, the office phone rung. With a lot of enthusiasm, I rushed to pick it..”Hello… Good morning.”...to continue.. don’t miss the next episode…if you like it, give it a thumb and share. You can also connect through the email.
Just recently, an NGO gave alarming data on numbers of teenage girls expecting to give birth soon. According to Citizen TV, this young girl gave birth to triplets. Guess who is responsible…a 13 year old boy..where are we heading to..what does law say about such incidents…

The stay at home rule and the lockdown experienced in most of the countries in the world has interfered with the school calendar. This has made a good number of students find refuge in online classes.
Learners taking an online class.
However this has not been always easy as there are a lot of challenges that learners go through during their online lessons. Some of these challenges are:
Lack of internet connection in rural areas.
Some parents are not able to meet the extra expenses that come with internet such as paying for home fibre network or buying of bundles.
There is disruption when lessons are going on such as; poor internet signals, blackouts due to power failure or lack of a quiet place as classes takes place in the houses where other members are going on with their duties causing background noise and interfering with the learners concentration.
The long holidays have come with a lot of challenges to our teenage girls. As parents are busy making ends meet, some evil people have taken advantage of these girls and abuse them. From the statistics given, most of this abuse is done by close relatives. Let’s talk to our girls and tell them the reality. Share the video link to give message to every school going girl out there.#teenagepregnancy

Though we are saying there is a Better side of staying at home …The directives of the lockdown experienced in most of the countries in the world has interfered with the school calendar. To pasue Education, this has made a good number of students find refuge in online classes.
Learners taking an online class.
However this has not been always easy as there are a lot of challenges that learners go through during their online lessons. Some of these challenges are:

There is disruption when lessons are going on such as; poor internet signals, blackouts due to power failure or lack of a quiet place as classes takes place in the houses where other members are going on with their duties causing background noise and interfering with the learners concentration.
Computer illiteracy. Using computers for online classes needs one to have some skills. While this should be the case, some learners face some challenges when connecting to class or when needed to follow the lesson smoothly.
Long hours on the screen. When learners are attending their classes, they are expected to be glued to the screen for long hours as all lessons are being taught through computers. If not using a computer, the students is forced to use a mobile phone which makes them struggle a lot reading and navigating to different pages as they take notes from the teacher. In any way, online lessons are causing stress and most of students who were not used to this style of learning have complained of headache and eye problems.
They are not able to participate fully like in a normal class. Audio and connection issues contribute to this.
The teacher might not be able to cater for slow learners. After online class, the learner has no other chance to engage with the teacher for the concept that was not well understood.
Ignorance of some of the parents who don’t care whether the child is learning or not. Technology to them is a bother and should not interfere with their busy schedule. In such a scenario, the learner is disadvantaged.
For long I have been a silent admirer of this couple. Their matching attire day in day out makes me not to make a mistake of missing their show. Their designer is perfect and doesn’t go anything short of perfect!
The pandemic has made the smooth running of business at the border a bit hectic. Disagreement between Kenya and Tanzania on testing of corona virus has made the truck drivers spend days before they are cleared at the border. Some days ago, the two governments (kenya and Tanzania) tried to come up with a solution which is trying to work but not to the expectation of the traders.
The border used to be a busy place where even small business people were getting their catch. Fear of the novel virus has reduced the movement in and out of the neighbouring countries bringing a negative impact to the business sector.
It is 12:50am…midnight or morning. Any way you may want to call it. I am supposed to be dead sleep by now, but here I am joining the dots.
I have been thinking why sometimes life is so unfair. Why some people are swimming in riches while others are drowning in poverty.
Others didn’t go beyond grade three and they own the best companies while some who have several degrees are still jobless.
Others started business from scratch and within a short time it became a big company while others still struggle to make theirs better even after years.
The list can go on and on till dawn, but my question still stands: why is life so unfair?
