My life at the village was not that easy. I used to wake up before the sunrise, rush to the shamba to get nappier grass for our cow. This was a way of making it to produce more milk.
After all, we needed this for our school fees and other expenses. I had to take the milk to the dairy farm that was seven kilometers away. No breakfast, there I go! The path passed through a forest and it was so scary all alone. On the way, I could hear sounds of animals which made me skip a heart beat. No matter the situation, I had to make sure I reach the dairy farm in time and with the milk intact.
The journey was sometimes delayed by some creatures who enjoyed their company along my path. I could not make a mistake of a show off as that meant the end of me.
I had to hide and watch from far or tempted to take another path which was also not so friendly as one was to go across the river through stepping of logs. Other days, we could find them swept by the water. So, no way was better than the other.

I vividly remember the day I came face to face with an elephant. As it was dark, I had not seen it neither had I heard any movement because it was standing still. Suddenly, it flapped it’s ears and that’s when I realized it was a stone throw from me.

My legs glued to the ground as a cold chill ran down my spine. What I experienced within the first ten minutes is a story for another day. I stood speechlessly and carefully not to make any movement that could alert the animal…..catch the next episode just here at ciscasquapro… connect through the email for notification.

It is sometimes hard to wake up to a reality. The time when we used to enjoy our holidays is long gone. Every holiday had it’s style for celebrations. Sometimes we would prefer to go swimming on a cool afternoon after enjoying our favorite meals.

Enjoying the family union was the most interesting thing as this was the only day family members would retire from their busy schedule. It used to be fun! We could meet new friends as we explored the nature. We really miss those days!……click the link to see why we could not do it the normal way.

1st June has always been a vibrant day with dozens of activities in kenya. Many people wake up early to go and catch up with live proceedings of the ceremony in different counties. For those who don’t make it to the venues, they follow the events through television or social media platforms.
This year things are different. Kenyans have woken up to a dull day where no holding events is allowed due to the covid 19 pandemic. The celebrations are no longer there. Visiting of parks, friends and relatives is now in the past until the country feel it is safe from the corona virus.
Though a bit boring, Kenyans have no option but to stay at home as directed by the government. It is always good to be safe than sorry. Happy Madaraka Day to all Kenyans where they are globally. STAY SAFE!

I had finished doing my office assignment and was getting ready to head to bed. Something caught my attention. I had forgotten to lock my door and so I took the key and went ahead. As I approached the door, I had a knock. Surprised, I asked myself, “who could that be at a such weird hour?” I didn’t expect anybody neither had I invited anyone to my house. Before I could enquire who it was, a voice said, ” It’s me, Bryan.”
Bryan was one of my colleagues at work. I wondered what could have made him come to my house at such an hour. Previously, we had quarreled on some issues we could not agree. I had declined his request to visit him during the weekend. That afternoon, I went to to the market to run some errands.
As I was picking some tomatoes, somebody tapped my shoulder and that is when I realized it was Hopekins my former classmate. I couldn’t resist a hag from him which felt so warm after staying for decades without seeing each other. All this time, I didn’t realize that Bryan was standing behind me. “Kindly meet my friend, Bryan.” He told me pointing to Bryan. I was shocked to see Bryan and I could tell from the look of his eyes that he was not happy with the way I embarrassed Hopekins. After shaking hands with him, he left in a hurry and left us chatting as we had fun flashing back to our school life.
So I knew that something was not right. I ushered him in Reluctantly. “What has made you to come here at this time? Is anything wrong?” I asked him knowing very well what could be the response. To my amazement, he said, ” Am sorry for the way I behaved this afternoon. I couldn’t control my jealousy when I saw you embracing Hopekins with a lot of intimacy. I Know it’s not right to judge you, but I could not help it.” ……stay tuned to know what happened…to continue…look out for the next episode.

We have been getting most of our products from China. Best herbs to treat our illness, electronics, latest phones, and anything else one can think of is imported from China. My worry is, did we also import the virus? I think it’s time to know things to import and those not to! It has been very hard to get rid of the virus!
Though sometimes we are forced by circumstances to accept free things, this has proved not to be one of the best ways to meet our needs. Just recently, the media reported that poisoned food has been given to innocent citizens who were yarning for help due to the impact of corona virus.
Little did they know that their happiness couldn’t last long. Most of them got seek after consuming the food given. This was inhuman and should be condemned using the strongest word possible. People should not take advantage of others’ condition to achieve their evil goals!

Have you ever wondered how you could stop the exam anxiety? Don’t go far, the tips are just here!

It was a bee hive of activities in all the markets before almost everything turned upside down. The towns were full of life as business men woke up early to meet their targets. All over a sudden, the monster arrived. Yes , the corona virus.
This changed everything. The freedom of movement became a history to be read. New outfit of masks hijacked our comfort of breathing. Expression of love and care was left to mother and baby as no more shaking of hands was allowed. The new lifestyle was difficult to adapt….to continue.
Are our children safe from corona virus..
It is sad that children have been left to go on with their daily activities. They are relating and playing as if covid 19 is a fiction. Schools were closed to keep children safe but it is like this is not working.
When parents go for job, these children are left all alone and they are free to meet with their friends without minding the impact of the pandemic. Most of them are seen not bothering to take the precautions needed. They never use masks nor keep social distance.
My question is…are these children safe? Is keeping them out of school protecting them from being victims?

It has been a long time since schools were indefinitely closed due to Covid 19.
It was a surprise to many as this caught them unaware. How they had to swallow the bitter pill as there was no other option to save the children from the pandemic.
Since then, it has not been easy to stay with children for such a long time bearing in mind that some live in high populated areas. Some of the parents have said it openly why it has been hard to stay with their children for such a long time and it is their prayer this will come to an end soon.
This are some of the reasons they gave:
Children cannot learn by themselves without the help of the teacher. They don’t take parents seriously when they give the assignments . Some of the parents are not aware on what is taught in school. Others know little about the syllabus.
Controlling children has not been easy, This is because they are staying in small rooms and keeping children congested in a room for a whole day is not easy to them. They better go outside where they would have a wider space for their activities.
Some parents are still going to their working places, hence children are left unattended. They(the children)may take advantage of this and engage themselves with immoral behaviours which parent could not advocate for if they were around.
Some children are still too young to understand why they are being told that it is not right to play with their peers.Keeping them in the house all day is not that simple.
Then there are the teenagers who most of the time they feel they are always right. This brings conflict between them and the parents.Sometimes they take advantage of the absence of the parent to do immoral things which could land them in danger. The parents have to deep more in their pockets for the unexpected budget.
It is a prayer to every parent that things will be back to normal soonest. As parents should also know this.
Feel free to add other reasons as you comment.also see

I pause this question to invite different views on the debate. Are all teenagers free to ask these questions?… Feel free to give your opinion.
It’s another time of the year that we prepare to celebrate the Easter Holiday. This remind us about the love of Jesus to mankind. Sacrificing his body for crucifixion was not an easy decision to make. This was a sacrifice of love. It is true that with love nothing is impossible. As we remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, it is important we share this ultimate love to one another. Have a blessed Easter.
