Today we mark the end of our Easter Holiday. For those who had travelled, remember to come back. Tomorrow is a working day. For those who were under lockdown, I hope you enjoyed your indoor Easter. It is good sometimes to do things differently.
After President Uhuru Kenyatta announced the lockdown of counties infected with the coronavirus, it found many unaware.
Most people have decided to rush to their destinations by midnight. This has caused congestion at bus stations contributing to hike of the fare. Most of the passengers are complaining that they were not prepared for the amount they are being charged and so causing a lot of inconveniences.
Business will also be affected. Some like hotels and bars have been advised to work on strict instructions.
Due to complains raised by kenyans on sudden lockdownnof some counties,the government has give a grace period. They are given twenty four hours to have travelled to their destinations. Kenyan citizens have welcomed the move. However, some feel that the decisions were hurriedly made.
Learning institutions have been closed down. The question is, how will the students move from the areas that have been locked down to their homes which are in different parts of the country? Some feel he could have given them time to reach home before locking down the areas.
Oops! We are in it once again! Last year, the government banned all gatherings including the churches. After a long period we were happy to go back to our worship places.
The country has been experiencing increase in Covid-19 infections where the number of people infected is increasing day by day. This has made the President to revert the rules.
Curfew hours have been increased. All gathering have been stopped. Hotels and bars closed. This did not spare the churches. And so we are at home catching live events from the social media…thanks to internet!

Most of the learners in some of the developing countries are not gaining from digital migration that is taking place in most part of the world. Like in kenya, children from vulnerable backgrounds cannot afford purchasing smart gadgets leave alone paying for the internet. Moreover, most of the teachers who are supposed to teach the learners using the technology skills are also not well equipped.I am requesting all well wishers to join hands to assist this children and the teachers. The donations received will be used to buy necessary equipment and for teachers facilitation programs.
