My life in the village- ciscasquapro

My life at the village was not that easy. I used to wake up before the sunrise, rush to the shamba to get nappier grass for our cow. This was a way of making it to produce more milk. After all, we needed this for our school fees and other expenses. I had to take the milk to the dairy farm that was seven kilometers away. No breakfast, there I go! The path passed through a forest and it was so scary all alone. On the way, I could hear sounds of animals which made me skip a heart beat. No matter the situation, I had to make sure I reach the dairy farm in time and with the milk intact.

The journey was sometimes delayed by some creatures who enjoyed their company along my path. I could not make a mistake of a show off as that meant the end of me.

I had to hide and watch from far or tempted to take another path which was also not so friendly as one was to go across the river through stepping of logs. Other days, we could find them swept by the water. So, no way was better than the other.

Dare not to disturb.

I vividly remember the day I came face to face with an elephant. As it was dark, I had not seen it neither had I heard any movement because it was standing still. Suddenly, it flapped it’s ears and that’s when I realized it was a stone throw from me.

Elephant on the way.

My legs glued to the ground as a cold chill ran down my spine. What I experienced within the first ten minutes is a story for another day. I stood speechlessly and carefully not to make any movement that could alert the animal…..catch the next episode just here at ciscasquapro… connect through the email for notification.

The Significance of Celebrating Birthdays

What is so unique in a Birth Day? Must it be celebrated? I remember when we were growing up in rural areas, there was nothing like celebrations of Birthdays. Later, parents started doing parties for the young ones. This has escalated to big parties where even grown-up are involved. What is it that the word…

As we approach the end of year 2025, I have so much , good and bad, that happened through out the year. One of the best is being able to tour a number of countries both in East Africa and Asia. It was a show of self love and satisfaction. How therapeutic it was is…

It is sometimes hard to wake up to a reality. The time when we used to enjoy our holidays is long gone. Every holiday had it’s style for celebrations. Sometimes we would prefer to go swimming on a cool afternoon after enjoying our favorite meals.

Enjoying the family union was the most interesting thing as this was the only day family members would retire from their busy schedule. It used to be fun! We could meet new friends as we explored the nature. We really miss those days!……click the link to see why we could not do it the normal way.

Madaraka Day

1st June has always been a vibrant day with dozens of activities in kenya. Many people wake up early to go and catch up with live proceedings of the ceremony in different counties. For those who don’t make it to the venues, they follow the events through television or social media platforms.

This year things are different. Kenyans have woken up to a dull day where no holding events is allowed due to the covid 19 pandemic. The celebrations are no longer there. Visiting of parks, friends and relatives is now in the past until the country feel it is safe from the corona virus.

Though a bit boring, Kenyans have no option but to stay at home as directed by the government. It is always good to be safe than sorry. Happy Madaraka Day to all Kenyans where they are globally. STAY SAFE!

Why is Africa associated with black colour?

For a long time, Africa has been associated with people who are black in complexion. We have some countries in Africa which their citizens are not black. Most of these are in northern part of Africa. Now if people think Africa means black, where will we classify these countries which their citizens are not black or chocolate in complexion?

Why China?

We have been getting most of our products from China. Best herbs to treat our illness, electronics, latest phones, and anything else one can think of is imported from China. My worry is, did we also import the virus? I think it’s time to know things to import and those not to! It has been very hard to get rid of the virus!
