What is so unique in a Birth Day? Must it be celebrated?
I remember when we were growing up in rural areas, there was nothing like celebrations of Birthdays. Later, parents started doing parties for the young ones. This has escalated to big parties where even grown-up are involved. What is it that the word birthday carries with it?
Infact, some relationships are even breaking just because the friend didn’t remember the birth date of the friend. And when one remembers and doesn’t present a birthday gift, it’s also a big issue. What is so funny with a birthday?
Unfortunately, as if not to give the birthday the honour it deserves, some have used it as a way to get money from people. They do it not because they have the vibe to celebrate but as a business. If it does not bring good returns, you hear them complaining. Should we celebrate this special day-Birth Day? If yes, how? If no, why? Feel free to share your opinion.
